How can I determine the status of my IMA membership?

Your IMA membership status is listed at the top of your IMA profile. Only “Verified” members are eligible to use all of the services and features of IMA.

I clicked on another page. How do I get back to my profile page?

If you go to another page on the site, you can always get back to your profile page by dragging your cursor over “Welcome to IMA, [Your Name],” then drag your cursor over “Profile,” and finally click on “View.”

What is an avatar?

An avatar is an uploaded photo displayed on your profile. The default avatar is a white silhouette against a gray background. All practitioners are required to upload photos of themselves. All site users (even those not logged in) will be able to see a practitioner’s avatar. Clients are not required to upload an avatar. Only members of a client’s Treatment Team will be able to see a client’s avatar.

How do I upload an avatar?

After signing into IMA, you can can upload an avatar by clicking on “Change Avatar,” under “Profile” on your profile page. [You can also access “Change Avatar” from the “Welcome to IMA” drop-down menu on the top right of the page, by selecting “Profile” and then “Change Avatar.”] Then, click “Choose File,” select a JPG, GIF or PNG format photo (no larger than 5 MB) from your computer or mobile device, and click “Upload Image” to proceed.

How do I crop my avatar?

After you upload an image, IMA will prompt you to crop your avatar. Drag the highlighted box over the area of the image that you want other users to be able to see. You can change the size of the box by clicking on the edge of the box, holding down, and dragging your cursor either up, down, left, or right. A preview of the image will be displayed on the right side of the page. Once you’ve chosen a cropped avatar that you are happy with, click “Crop Image” under the preview.

How do I update information on my profile?

IMA allows users to update their basic information (name and email address) and their profile as visible to other users or members of their Treatment Team. After signing into IMA, you can edit your profile by clicking on “Edit,” under “Profile” on the profile page. [You can also access “Edit” from the “Welcome to IMA” drop-down menu on the top right of the page, by selecting “Profile” and then “Edit.”] After selecting “Basic Information,” “Client Profile,” or “Practitioner Information,” make any necessary updates and be sure to click “Save Changes” when you are finished. Please contact the site administrator at admin@integrativemedicineaccess.org to make changes to your household income (clients only) or your credentialed modalities (practitioners only).

What is a Treatment Team?

A Treatment Team is the group of practitioners who work together with a client to achieve and maintain the client’s wellness. When a client adds a practitioner to his/her Treatment Team, the practitioner can either accept or reject the request. If the practitioner accepts the request, the client then has the ability to send private messages to the practitioner, and the practitioner has the ability to see the client’s profile.

How do I check my notifications?

Notifications of new messages and updates to your Treatment Team will appear in a blue circle on the top right of the page. You will also receive email notifications when you receive new messages and/or updates.

Can I check my messages or Treatment Team notifications without logging into IMA?

Yes. Every time you receive a message or Treatment Team notification, you will also be notified via email.

How do I read messages when logged into IMA?

On your profile page, click on “Messages,” which will take you to your inbox. Click on the subject heading of the message to read the message.

How do I change my account email and/or password?

You can change your account email and/or password under “Settings” on your profile page. Be sure to click “Save Changes” after making your changes.

Who can see my profile?

Anyone who visits the IMA website can see a practitioner’s profile.

How do I attract more clients?

Be sure to fill out your profile completely and accurately and include photos. Through our diverse outreach and marketing efforts, we’ll do the rest of the work for you!

How do I send a private message to a client?

In order to send a client a private message, you must be on the client’s Treatment Team. To send a message, click on “Messages” on your profile page, then click on “Compose.” Under “Send a Private Message To,” begin entering your client’s name. After you’ve entered the first few letters, the field will autocomplete. Select the appropriate name from the list. Then fill out the “Subject” and the “Message” fields and click “Send Message.”

Can I contact other practitioners through IMA?

At the moment, the IMA website only allows practitioners to interact with registered clients. Please stay tuned for future updates that will enable practitioners to coordinate care for their clients.

How do I become part of a Treatment Team?

In order to become part of a Treatment Team, a client must send you a request. Please check the email affiliated with your IMA account to stay up to date on all of your Treatment Team requests.

How do I upload photos of my office?

On your profile page, click on “Photos.” Then, click on “upload.” You have two options: to select your files from your computer or mobile device (by clicking “Select your files”) or dragging your photos into the box. Once you’ve selected or dragged your photo to the appropriate area, click “Start Upload.”

How do I edit the title and description of an office photo?

On your profile page, click on “Photos.” Click on the photo you would like to edit. Underneath the photo image, click “Edit.” Enter the new “Title” and “Description” and then click “Save.”

How do I modify the image of an office photo?

On your profile page, click on “Photos.” Click on the photo you would like to modify. Underneath the photo image, click “Edit.” Under “Edit Media,” click on “Image.” Then, click on “Modify Image.” You can crop, rotate, or flip your photos. Be sure to click “Save” under both “Modify Image” and “Edit Media” after making any changes.

How do I delete a photo?

On your profile page, click on “Photos.” Click on the photo you would like to delete. Underneath the photo image, click on “Delete.” Finally, select “OK.”

Who can see my profile?

Client profiles are not public. Only the practitioners who you have invited to your Treatment Team can see your profile.

How do I find a practitioner?

On the IMA homepage, drag your cursor over “Find a Practitioner” and click on “Locate an integrative health practitioner in your area.” Select a specialty, enter your zip code in the box, select the distance you are able to travel to your practitioner, and then click “Submit.” You will then be able to see a map of your area with flags indicating where practitioners have offices. Below the map, you will be able to see pictures, names, and addresses of practitioners in your area. Click on the name to see an extended profile, membership status, and contact information.

How do I determine which treatment is right for me?

Use our “Search by Condition” feature to find a list of scientifically-proven treatments for 26 common conditions. You can read more about each treatment under “Search by Treatment.” While IMA cannot guarantee that any treatment will be effective, IMA encourages clients to try different treatments to see which one is most beneficial for them.

How do I add a practitioner to my Treatment Team?

After finding a practitioner, click on the practitioner’s name to view his or her profile. First, make sure that the practitioner’s membership has been “Verified.” Then, click on “Add to Treatment Team.” When the practitioner accepts your Treatment Team request, you will receive an email notification.

How do I set up an appointment with a practitioner?

Send a private message to a practitioner to set up an appointment. After finding a practitioner, click on the practitioner’s name to view his or her profile. First, make sure that the practitioner’s membership has been “Verified.” Then, click on “Send Message” to request an appointment. Fill out the “Subject” and the “Message” fields and click “Send Message.” Note: you will need to add the practitioner to your Treatment Team before the appointment so that the practitioner can confirm that your membership has been “Verified.”

No. Treatment Teams connect a single client with multiple practitioners.
